Hibiscus Coast Waterpolo Sunday League Term 2/3 - 2026 Team Registration. (Stanmore Bay Leisure Centre)

The Hibiscus Coast Water Polo Sunday League competition for terms 2 and 3 and will start on Sunday 3 May

Sunday afternoons and evening 4pm - 8pm

Term 2 2026 - 8 weeks

No Sunday League 26 April ANZAC Day or 31 May - Kings Birthday Weekend

Term 3 2026 - 9 weeks

Costs:

To make payments easier for schools and players, we are moving to a season charge for teams, rather than by term as it will reduce unnecessary double handling.

Term 2  - 8 weeks - $525 per team

Term 3 - 9 Weeks - $575 per term

Both Term 2 & 3  - $1100

We will operate the following grades:

Shallow end

  • Year 3-4 junior polo 2 x 10 minute halves, 6 field players + a goalie 

  • Year 5-6 junior polo 2 x 10 minute halves, 6 field players + a goalie 

Deep end

  • Year 7-8 water polo 2 x 10 minute halves, 6 field players + a goalie 

  • Y9-13 Schools grade water polo 2 x 10 minute halves, 4 field players + a goalie – fast five format

  • Social polo 2 x 10 minute halves, 4 field players + a goalie– fast five format

Please note that players should wear appropriate swimwear. Balls and caps are supplied. Wearing of rash shirts and goggles is not allowed as these cause injuries through entanglement and ball impact.

Smaller schools who have insufficient players to make a team should contact the Sunday league co-ordinator or the club chair to discuss options.

If we have a large number of teams register, we will reduce the game time to 2 x 9 minute halves in an attempt to accommodate all teams who would like to take part.

Privacy Statement.

Hibiscus Coast Water Polo only collects information that is relevant for the clubs administration of the players activity within the club. The information is securely store and access to this information is restricted and controlled. Some general information about the players is shared with Auckland and New Zealand Water Polo for player affiliation, competitions and tournament. Hibiscus Coast Water Polo does not share any information with other third party organisations. Members are able to request access to view and correct information held by the club about them. The club will securely dispose of information that is no longer required.

Disruptions:

Hibiscus Coast water polo sunday league is sometimes subject to disruptions above and beyond our control. Availability of the pool may change due to various circumstances including emergency cleaning of the pool. In the event of such disruptions the club will endeavour to contact all coaches and managers via email, posting on the club website and through relevant social media. Should the competition have over 2 cancellations within a term, the club will provide credit that can be used against the team's fees in the next term.

Health and Safety:

The club takes all appropriate measures to ensure the health and safety of our players. It is critical for the management of risk  and reduction of potential injuries that incidents and near misses are reported to the club to enable us to review our processes and procedures. The team managers and coaches are responsible for reporting in a timely manner any accidents, injuries or near misses. Please email sundayleague@hcwaterpolo.co.nz
